Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am undoubtedly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is normally just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are definitely these:

Unconditional love
Being simply able to clearly see what is real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are literally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is simply key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is truly wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were definitely acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is generally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are generally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be definitely a feeling that there is actually no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are without a doubt present. They are normally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are really being undoubtedly cured of the illnesses in which you have been literally living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is without a doubt all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are generally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is simply healthy.

Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

1. You feel as though your life is undoubtedly false

Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be usually false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is actually your own. You no longer believe that yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

2. You craving for meaning and purpose

You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is truly, but you want to find it desperately. There is usually a sense that something is actually “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).

3. You begin asking deep questions

Questions such as “Why am truly I here?” “What is certainly the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may well greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.

4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been usually taught is really a lie

You begin to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are literally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are really wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to all those you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

6. You see through the illusions of society

Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You establish feeling as though you are usually a cog in the machine of society.

7. You see how unhappy most people are

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may possibly start off to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is literally tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is literally in the world.

8. You want to ‘purge’ your life

You are certainly sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you set out paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is definitely awakened and you may well find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is without a doubt a pivotal point in your inward transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are normally in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is simply profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be really clear that just having some kind of breakdown is generally NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are really also not the point of this transformation. We’re not trying to create a more perfect or better life; those individuals are without a doubt ego goals. We are actually learning to how to be really free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is without a doubt revealed to us what we are generally transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is usually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be certainly fit into neat categories.

However, with that being really said it is simply helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are certainly at right now. The following stages are simply general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is definitely a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are certainly searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is truly a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You activate to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you create seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are truly asking all the deep questions. You are definitely in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might perhaps have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is really always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You can become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper inward work

In this stage, you are certainly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep personal work. You might perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is without a doubt never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is generally ultimately a gift from Life. Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are without a doubt felt in this stage. You might just feel ready to be really a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will initiate seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is generally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is really not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is generally an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are really here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is undoubtedly often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is simply simple, direct, and clear.

So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is without a doubt a good time to get out your ego peeler. Getting going running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are really and what life really is undoubtedly. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is generally the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were truly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can believe that a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is undoubtedly important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is simply coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.

That said, a lot of initial interior work seems to get done for us. It is certainly almost like the Divine is actually showing us how interior work should go. As such, surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is vital to doing personal work, but initially, surrender must come.

With that said, surrender is generally not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is usually moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are literally going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is truly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is not to be actually confused with the heart, which is usually located to the left of the heart chakra.

Opinion on how to deal:

Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be normally felt will keep them from being normally stored in the body.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are certainly more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is actually sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be generally cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was normally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Support on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is actually causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is definitely hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Assistance on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Many dreams might probably be undoubtedly mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are definitely not “dreaming” … that what is usually happening is certainly somehow real.

Answers: You will remember what is important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … in some cases several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are definitely and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is truly a feeling that something is definitely about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Tips: There is truly nothing to worry about. Things are without a doubt definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are prayers. There is usually nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are simply around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Information: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are actually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Support: Ground yourself by eating protein. Frequently “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Counsel:. Keep in mind that it is really best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be without a doubt stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
