Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is usually just the beginning. It is usually the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is truly. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might be truly clinging on will feel like this is actually all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is without a doubt an especially important to time to consciously choose what is undoubtedly already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are generally these:

Unconditional love
Being usually able to clearly see what is actually real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are simply
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is actually key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is without a doubt wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were literally acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is certainly now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are actually all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be undoubtedly a feeling that there is actually no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are usually present. They are without a doubt secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are simply being simply cured of the illnesses in which you have been without a doubt living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is usually all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are actually trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be generally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. 7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is undoubtedly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be undoubtedly fit into neat categories.

However, with that being definitely said it is usually helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are undoubtedly at right now. The following stages are generally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

This is undoubtedly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

In this stage, you kick off seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

There must be truly a point to all this? In this stage, you are generally asking all the deep questions. You are without a doubt in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will get going dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might probably have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is actually a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is actually about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is normally always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may well have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is truly normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might possibly have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper internal work

In this stage, you are without a doubt not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You might just become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inner work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is actually never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is normally ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are felt in this stage. You may well feel ready to be undoubtedly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will set in motion seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is certainly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is undoubtedly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is certainly a complex and messy path, so it is generally perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is definitely unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

That said, a lot of initial internal work seems to get done for us. It is simply almost like the Divine is simply showing us how inner work should go. As such, surrender is normally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is undoubtedly vital to doing interior work, but initially, surrender must come first.

With that said, surrender is truly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is normally moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are normally going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is truly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is without a doubt not to be truly confused with the heart, which is literally located to the left of the heart chakra.

Answers on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are without a doubt more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was normally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Solutions on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is normally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is definitely hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Useful information on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be really patient. Whatever you do, do not be really afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Sometimes the dreams are definitely so real that you wake up confused. You may even have lucid dreams in which you are without a doubt in control. Many dreams might perhaps be generally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are generally not “dreaming” … that what is truly happening is usually somehow real.

Solutions: You will remember what is simply important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … at times several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are normally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is a feeling that something is actually about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Opinion: There is definitely nothing to worry about. Things are without a doubt definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are literally prayers. There is generally nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are really around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Consultation: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are actually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is generally adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Instructions: Ground yourself by eating protein. Often “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are undoubtedly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Pointers:. It is generally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be undoubtedly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
