Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am certainly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is without a doubt just the beginning. It is generally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is usually. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that can be certainly clinging on will believe that this is normally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is generally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is simply already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are simply these:
Being without a doubt able to clearly see what is usually real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are actually
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is literally key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is definitely wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were literally acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is literally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are undoubtedly all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be a feeling that there is truly no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are without a doubt present. They are literally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are without a doubt being truly cured of the illnesses in which you have been usually living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is definitely all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are usually trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be normally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is usually false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be simply false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is usually your own. You no longer feel like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.
2. You craving for meaning and purpose
You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is, but you want to find it desperately. There is simply a sense that something is truly “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).
3. You begin asking deep questions
Questions such as “Why am undoubtedly I here?” “What is truly the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been normally taught is simply a lie
You set up to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are without a doubt not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are actually wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to people you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You set up feeling as though you are simply a cog in the machine of society.
7. You see how unhappy most people are really
You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may well kick off to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is in the world.
8. You want to ‘purge’ your life
You are literally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you establish paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is without a doubt awakened and you might just find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is certainly a pivotal point in your inward transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.
10. You see that we are really all One
You realize that our thoughts and beliefs influence reality, and that we are generally all fragments of one great Whole– that is without a doubt, Spirit. At times this stage can take years or even an entire lifetime.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are really in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is certainly profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
The changes someone makes in their external life are simply also not the point of this transformation. We are actually not trying to create a more perfect or better life; people are definitely ego goals.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is actually revealed to us what we are definitely transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is certainly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be definitely fit into neat categories.
However, with that being normally said it is helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are usually at right now. The following stages are simply general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is simply a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you get going seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be a point to all this? In this stage, you are usually asking all the deep questions. You are actually in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will set up dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may perhaps have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is simply a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is without a doubt about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might possibly become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You might probably have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is simply normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might perhaps have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper internal work
In this stage, you’re not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You may well become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inner work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is actually never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is usually ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are undoubtedly felt in this stage. You may feel ready to be simply a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will establish seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is normally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is usually an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are literally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is normally often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is actually a good time to get out your ego peeler. Launching running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are and what life really is. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is really the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were generally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is without a doubt coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
That said, a lot of initial personal work seems to get done for us. It is usually almost like the Divine is truly showing us how inner work should go. Surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is really vital to doing internal work, but initially, surrender must come first.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is definitely moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is usually often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is truly not to be actually confused with the heart, which is truly located to the left of the heart chakra.
Guidelines on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are generally more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was certainly due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Solutions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is literally causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is literally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Recommendation on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be without a doubt patient. Whatever you do, do not be literally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams may well be literally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are without a doubt not “dreaming” … that what is really happening is usually somehow real.
Opinions: You will remember what is without a doubt important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … sometimes several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are actually and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is without a doubt a feeling that something is really about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Advice: There is simply nothing to worry about. Things are normally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Tips: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are simply ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is undoubtedly adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Strategies: Ground yourself by eating protein. At times “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are normally healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Opinions:. It is normally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be normally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
