My spiritual awakening process.

I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was truly deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was usually born into.

Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was actually more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me maneuver this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

What Is Generally A Spiritual Awakening

In this profound revelation, a person’s energy moves and sets in motion to transform you. It heals old wounds, dissolves false beliefs and illusions, and shifts you towards your truest way of expressing yourself and living your life.Spiritual Awakening Ministries

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am actually very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is undoubtedly just the beginning. It is literally the light coming on in the house so that you can see everything for what it is normally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Sometimes, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that can be usually clinging on will feel like this is all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is literally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are certainly these:

Unconditional love
Being able to clearly see what is truly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are generally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is simply key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is certainly wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were without a doubt acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is undoubtedly now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are normally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be actually a feeling that there is definitely no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are usually present. They are without a doubt secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are truly being undoubtedly cured of the illnesses in which you have been normally living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is undoubtedly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are generally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is actually healthy.

Why Does Spritual Awakening happen

Have you ever thought of your spiritual awakening? People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. But spiritual awakening is definitely such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life. A person who is regularly having a fixed routine continues to move on, but if any such event takes place which he never expected, he can face an awakening of his spiritual mind.

If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may perhaps create to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

1. Facing with a sudden incident of life can be without a doubt a significant cause of spiritual awakening Human mind always remains in a dynamic state. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury might just have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. The reason behind this may likely be simply some incident which he has seen near him, or has heard of somebody. Thus, he might probably have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he sets in motion to realize the deeper meaning of life. Therefore, he may well get his spiritual soul awakened.

A dream is definitely another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person may likely have a spiritual awakening.

3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is truly fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.

4. Though it sounds odd, it is undoubtedly not impossible that a person might possibly face some paranormal incidents in his life which might just be normally magical or ghostly. Such type of experience may result in the spiritual awakening of a person.

5. Any incident which is undoubtedly unexpected may likely take place at any time, an accident, death incident, trauma, failure, loss, etc. These may perhaps suddenly result in spiritual awakening. Suppose if a person loses someone close due to an unnatural death, he may possibly start to find out the reasons for the incident in new ways. The constant search for further questions may well cause spiritual awakening inside that person.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are generally in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is usually profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be simply clear that just having some kind of breakdown is without a doubt NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are truly also not the point of this transformation. We are generally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are truly ego goals. We are simply learning to how to be truly free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is generally revealed to us what we are without a doubt transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is definitely complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.

However, with that being normally said it is undoubtedly helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are normally at right now. The following stages are usually general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is truly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are generally searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is simply a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You kick off to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you establish seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are without a doubt asking all the deep questions. You are simply in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is literally a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is generally always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper inner work

In this stage, you are undoubtedly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inside work. You might perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is undoubtedly never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is truly ultimately a gift from Life. Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are normally felt in this stage. You might possibly feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will start off seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is literally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is without a doubt a complex and messy path, so it is without a doubt perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is without a doubt unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is truly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are literally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is usually often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is simple, direct, and clear.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is certainly a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are usually and what life really is simply. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

It is definitely almost like the Divine is without a doubt showing us how inner work should go. Surrender is without a doubt another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

With that said, surrender is usually not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is certainly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are simply going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is without a doubt often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is definitely not to be truly confused with the heart, which is really located to the left of the heart chakra.

Answers on how to deal:

Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be simply felt will keep them from being generally stored in the body.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are usually more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is really sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be generally cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was without a doubt due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Hints and tips on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is certainly causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is really hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Recommendations on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Many dreams might just be usually mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are without a doubt not “dreaming” … that what is definitely happening is definitely somehow real.

Insight: You will remember what is usually important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … often several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are generally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is simply a feeling that something is about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Hints and tips: There is undoubtedly nothing to worry about. Things are normally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are simply around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Knowledge: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are generally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Help and advice: Ground yourself by eating protein. In some cases “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are actually healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Strategies:. It is undoubtedly best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be actually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
