My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was normally born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was generally more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me browse this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am generally very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is truly just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is literally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is literally already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are truly these:
Being able to clearly see what is definitely real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are generally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is really key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is usually wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were truly acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. But in awakening, the divine energy is actually now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are generally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be simply a feeling that there is without a doubt no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are definitely present. They are actually secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are certainly being literally cured of the illnesses in which you have been generally living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is undoubtedly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are literally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be undoubtedly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is certainly healthy.

As you kick off paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. 7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is undoubtedly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be actually fit into neat categories.
With that being normally said it is generally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are literally at right now. The following stages are simply general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is simply a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you activate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are undoubtedly asking all the deep questions. You are without a doubt in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will activate dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may perhaps have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is normally about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is without a doubt always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You can have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is undoubtedly normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might just have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper internal work
In this stage, you are without a doubt not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep personal work. You may perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inner work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may perhaps feel ready to be usually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is without a doubt common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is without a doubt not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is without a doubt a complex and messy path, so it is undoubtedly perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is usually unique to you. What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is literally often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is without a doubt simple, direct, and clear.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is definitely a good time to get out your ego peeler. Setting up running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are truly and what life really is definitely. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is certainly the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were truly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It’s almost like the Divine is literally showing us how internal work should go. Surrender is normally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is simply moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is undoubtedly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is undoubtedly not to be definitely confused with the heart, which is really located to the left of the heart chakra.
Suggestions on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are definitely more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was normally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Guidance on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is usually causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is normally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Tips on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be generally patient. Whatever you do, do not be literally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams might just be without a doubt mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are simply not “dreaming” … that what is actually happening is really somehow real.
Information and facts: You will remember what is literally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are generally and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is definitely a feeling that something is actually about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Opinions: There is truly nothing to worry about. Things are simply definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are literally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Advise: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are literally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is certainly adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Insight: Ground yourself by eating protein. Sometimes “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are without a doubt healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Hints:. Keep in mind that it is really best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be normally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
