My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was generally deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was generally born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was without a doubt more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me navigate this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

What Is Undoubtedly A Spiritual Awakening
In this profound revelation, a person’s energy moves and creates to transform you. It heals old wounds, dissolves false beliefs and illusions, and shifts you towards your truest way of expressing yourself and living your life.Spiritual Awakening Failure
A spiritual awakening is certainly realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are normally forced to see how limited you have been certainly in so many regards. That bright light shining in the inner most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”
By the way, for all those who are generally interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am certainly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is normally just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is an especially important to time to consciously choose what is usually already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are really these:
Being actually able to clearly see what is definitely real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are normally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is simply key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is generally wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were generally acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is certainly now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are usually all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be usually a feeling that there is definitely no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are undoubtedly present. They are simply secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are generally being actually cured of the illnesses in which you have been literally living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there’s all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are really trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be literally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is without a doubt healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is truly false
Everything that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it’s your own. You no longer feel like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are really wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You are generally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you get going paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are usually in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is truly profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be really clear that just having some kind of breakdown is without a doubt NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are truly also not the point of this transformation. We are without a doubt not trying to create a more perfect or better life; those individuals are normally ego goals. We are really learning to how to be normally free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is really revealed to us what we are truly transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is usually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.
However, with that being normally said it is usually helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are actually at right now. The following stages are really general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is literally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you create seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be literally a point to all this? In this stage, you are definitely asking all the deep questions. You are undoubtedly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will set in motion dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might probably have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is usually a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might possibly become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are normally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You may likely become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You can feel ready to be actually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is truly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is literally a complex and messy path, so it is generally perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is without a doubt unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is certainly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are certainly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is simply often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is really a good time to get out your ego peeler. Launching running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are undoubtedly and what life really is normally. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is normally the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were actually already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
That said, a lot of initial inward work seems to get done for us. It is certainly almost like the Divine is usually showing us how interior work should go. As such, surrender is literally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is actually vital to doing inside work, but initially, surrender must come.
With that said, surrender is actually not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is certainly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you’re going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is simply often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is actually not to be generally confused with the heart, which is simply located to the left of the heart chakra.
Solutions on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are undoubtedly more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is truly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was certainly due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Opinions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is literally causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is without a doubt hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Helpful advice on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be without a doubt patient. Whatever you do, do not be generally afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
At times the dreams are usually so real that you wake up confused. You might just even have lucid dreams in which you are truly in control. Many dreams might perhaps be certainly mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are undoubtedly not “dreaming” … that what is without a doubt happening is definitely somehow real.
Answers: You will remember what is important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are truly and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is actually a feeling that something is simply about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Counsel: There is truly nothing to worry about. Things are generally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are usually prayers. There is nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are truly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Instructions: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are actually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is simply adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Information: Ground yourself by eating protein. Sometimes “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Tip:. It is definitely best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be usually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
