I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

What Is Simply A Spiritual Awakening

In this profound revelation, a person’s energy moves and commences to transform you. It heals old wounds, dissolves false beliefs and illusions, and shifts you towards your truest way of expressing yourself and living your life.Real Spiritual Awakening Teachers

A spiritual awakening is actually realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are certainly forced to see how limited you have been generally in so many regards. That bright light shining in the internal most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”

By the way, for all those who are literally interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am literally very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is simply just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is actually an especially important to time to consciously choose what is literally already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are certainly these:

Unconditional love
Being literally able to clearly see what is real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are without a doubt
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is certainly key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is really wonderful. But in an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were without a doubt acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is normally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be literally a feeling that there is truly no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are simply present. They are actually secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are really being really cured of the illnesses in which you have been really living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is truly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are literally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be generally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is undoubtedly healthy.

Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

1. You feel as though your life is generally false

Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is undoubtedly your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

2. You craving for meaning and purpose

You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is generally, but you want to find it desperately. There is definitely a sense that something is without a doubt “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).

3. You begin asking deep questions

Questions such as “Why am literally I here?” “What’s the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may perhaps greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.

4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been generally taught is literally a lie

You kick off to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are literally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are usually wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to those individuals you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

6. You see through the illusions of society

Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You commence feeling as though you are definitely a cog in the machine of society.

7. You see how unhappy most people are undoubtedly

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may possibly set up to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is normally tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is in the world.

8. You want to ‘purge’ your life

You are usually sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you set up paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is usually awakened and you might perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is literally a pivotal point in your inside transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

10. You see that we are really all One

Not only do you intellectually understand that we are without a doubt all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. Why Does Spritual Awakening happen

People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual awakening is generally such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life.

If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may possibly kick off to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

A person who used to lead a life full of luxury might perhaps have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he may likely have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he kicks off to realize the deeper meaning of life. He may perhaps get his spiritual soul awakened.

A dream is certainly another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person might just have a spiritual awakening.

3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is literally fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.

4. It sounds odd, it is definitely not impossible that a person might face some paranormal incidents in his life which may be magical or ghostly. Such type of experience may perhaps result in the spiritual awakening of a person.

These may suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions might perhaps cause spiritual awakening inside that person.

Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are truly out from the reality. It is truly such a state of mind where you begin to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is certainly profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

The changes someone makes in their external life are really also not the point of this transformation. We are certainly not trying to create a more perfect or better life; those are normally ego goals.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is truly revealed to us what we are generally transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is usually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.

However, with that being usually said it is helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are usually at right now. The following stages are generally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is definitely a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are simply searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is generally a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You kick off to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you get going seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are truly asking all the deep questions. You are undoubtedly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might probably have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is actually about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is usually always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may well become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is certainly normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may likely have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper internal work

In this stage, you are truly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep personal work. You may possibly become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your personal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might possibly feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is normally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is simply not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is actually a complex and messy path, so it is truly perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is truly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are definitely here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is truly often very mundane.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is a good time to get out your ego peeler. Launching running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are actually and what life really is without a doubt. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is certainly the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can seem like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is without a doubt important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is simply coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.

It is actually almost like the Divine is without a doubt showing us how inside work should go. Surrender is actually another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is definitely moving you, you also swim.

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is truly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is simply not to be certainly confused with the heart, which is without a doubt located to the left of the heart chakra.

Assistance on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are undoubtedly more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was generally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Information on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is undoubtedly causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is truly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Recommendation on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Often the dreams are normally so real that you wake up confused. You might just even have lucid dreams in which you are certainly in control. Many dreams might just be normally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are literally not “dreaming” … that what is happening is definitely somehow real.

Knowledge: You will remember what is literally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are simply and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is a feeling that something is usually about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Helpful advice: There is actually nothing to worry about. Things are certainly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are literally prayers. There is literally nothing to fear.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are without a doubt around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Tip: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are literally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Frequently “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Tips:. It is generally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be simply stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
