My spiritual awakening process.

I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was literally deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was generally born into.

Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was truly more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me browse through this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am simply very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is actually just the beginning. It is usually the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is really. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might be clinging on will feel like this is really all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is normally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is without a doubt already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are usually these:

Unconditional love
Being undoubtedly able to clearly see what is undoubtedly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are normally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is really wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is really now in motion.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are present. They are truly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are truly being definitely cured of the illnesses in which you have been truly living.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is truly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be undoubtedly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is simply healthy.

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are actually wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to people you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).

Why Does Spritual Awakening happen

Have you ever thought of your spiritual awakening? People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual awakening is usually such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life. A person who is generally regularly having a fixed routine continues to move on, but if any such event takes place which he never expected, he can face an awakening of his spiritual mind.

If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person might probably set in motion to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?

A person who used to lead a life full of luxury might probably have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he may perhaps have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he sets out to realize the deeper meaning of life. He might just get his spiritual soul awakened.

A dream is actually another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person might perhaps have a spiritual awakening.

3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is really fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.

4. It sounds odd, it is generally not impossible that a person might face some paranormal incidents in his life which might possibly be really magical or ghostly. Such type of experience might just result in the spiritual awakening of a person.

These can suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions might probably cause spiritual awakening inside that person.

Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are actually out from the reality. It is actually such a state of mind where you kick off to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?

If you did have an awakening, you are truly in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is literally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.

I want to be truly clear that just having some kind of breakdown is really NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are without a doubt also not the point of this transformation. We are simply not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are without a doubt ego goals. We are without a doubt learning to how to be certainly free of ego.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is simply revealed to us what we are without a doubt transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is generally complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be normally fit into neat categories.

However, with that being without a doubt said it is without a doubt helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are generally at right now. The following stages are literally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

This is really a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

In this stage, you commence seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

There must be normally a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are literally asking all the deep questions. You are without a doubt in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will kick off dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might probably have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

With the spiritual awakening process, there is certainly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.

Stage 6– Deeper inner work

In this stage, you are usually not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You might become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your personal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is certainly never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is without a doubt ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are actually felt in this stage. You can feel ready to be certainly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will get going seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.

Note: it is literally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is simply not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is without a doubt an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are normally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is without a doubt often very mundane.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is simply a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are actually and what life really is certainly. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were simply already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

It is undoubtedly almost like the Divine is generally showing us how inward work should go. Surrender is certainly another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

With that said, surrender is really not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is usually moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are actually going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is literally often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is definitely not to be simply confused with the heart, which is normally located to the left of the heart chakra.

Tips on how to deal:

Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be usually felt will keep them from being simply stored in the body.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is usually sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be actually cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was without a doubt due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Help and advice on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is actually causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is truly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Opinion on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be certainly patient. Whatever you do, do not be actually afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

Many dreams might possibly be truly mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are generally not “dreaming” … that what is really happening is undoubtedly somehow real.

Advise: You will remember what is usually important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … often several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is actually a feeling that something is generally about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Knowledge: There is simply nothing to worry about. Things are generally definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are without a doubt around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Recommendations: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are truly ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.

Opinions: Ground yourself by eating protein. Occasionally “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are undoubtedly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Help:. Keep in mind that it is undoubtedly best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be simply stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up. Ask for help from your guides.Headache And Spiritual Awakening
