Spiritual Awakening Signs

I am undoubtedly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is without a doubt just the beginning. It is undoubtedly the light coming on in the house so that you can see everything for what it is really. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that can be definitely clinging on will feel like this is literally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is truly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is actually already unfolding in your life.

In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are certainly these:

Unconditional love
Being certainly able to clearly see what is undoubtedly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are undoubtedly
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually

This last part is normally key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is certainly wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were literally acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is literally now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are literally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be literally a feeling that there is literally no going back.

All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are present. They are truly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.

Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is generally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are normally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is really healthy.

Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening

1. You feel as though your life is normally false

Everything that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be truly false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is literally your own. You no longer feel like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is literally, but you want to find it desperately. There is literally a sense that something is simply “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).

3. You begin asking deep questions

Questions such as “Why am normally I here?” “What is simply the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts might greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.

4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been truly taught is really a lie

You set up to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are simply not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

5. You feel completely lost and alone

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.

6. You see through the illusions of society

Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You set in motion feeling as though you are certainly a cog in the machine of society.

7. You see how unhappy most people are

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may likely set in motion to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is simply tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is without a doubt in the world.

8. You want to ‘purge’ your life

You are certainly sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.

9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion

As you begin paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is normally awakened and you can find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is generally a pivotal point in your inner transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

Not only do you intellectually understand that we are truly all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. The changes someone makes in their external life are usually also not the point of this transformation. We are normally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are truly ego goals.

To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is usually revealed to us what we are certainly transforming into.

7 Spiritual Awakening Stages

The spiritual awakening process is without a doubt complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.

However, with that being truly said it is literally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are certainly at right now. The following stages are definitely general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:

Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost

This is literally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).

Stage 2– Shifting perspectives

You establish to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you initiate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.

Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning

In this stage, you are usually asking all the deep questions. You are actually in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.

Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs

After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may well have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is normally a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.

Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again

Life is truly about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is simply always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is simply normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.

Stage 6– Deeper inner work

In this stage, you are certainly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You may perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.

Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy

Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inward work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may perhaps feel ready to be literally a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.

Note: it is truly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is definitely not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is certainly a complex and messy path, so it is normally perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is actually unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’

What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake

The true spiritual path is really an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are undoubtedly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is literally often very mundane.

Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is without a doubt a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are undoubtedly and what life really is actually. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were truly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening

Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

It is actually almost like the Divine is really showing us how interior work should go. Surrender is really another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.

With that said, surrender is definitely not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is truly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are really going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!

10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening

1. Sudden waves of emotion.

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is undoubtedly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is undoubtedly not to be certainly confused with the heart, which is simply located to the left of the heart chakra.

Guidance on how to deal:

Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.

As you grow more spiritual, you are usually more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.

My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was literally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.

Hints on how to deal:

Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is normally causing your issues.

3. Amplification of the senses.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is normally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).

Help on how to deal:.

Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.

4. Vivid dreams.

At times the dreams are literally so real that you wake up confused. You might probably even have lucid dreams in which you are certainly in control. Many dreams might perhaps be mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are simply not “dreaming” … that what is simply happening is really somehow real.

Consultation: You will remember what is certainly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.

5. Events that completely alter your life:

Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are generally and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.

6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.

This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.

7. A sense of something “Impending”.

There is a feeling that something is certainly about to happen. This can create anxiety.

Hints and tips: There is normally nothing to worry about. Things are without a doubt definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.

8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.

When you are around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.

Suggestion: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.

9. Dizziness.

This occurs when you are actually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is usually adjusting to your “lighter” state.

At times “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.

10. Memories Resurface.

Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are without a doubt healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.

Guidelines:. Keep in mind that it is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be truly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
